In July 2025, I participated in the Cindy Pellegrini Advocacy Day, hosted by the March of Dimes, where I advocated for the PREEMIE Reauthorization Act, aimed at addressing preterm births in the United States. As a Maternal and Child Health Advocate, I shared my daughter Alice’s journey through her preterm birth and emphasized the importance of ongoing support for this vital legislation.

During the event, I had the privilege of connecting with other advocates who share a deep commitment to improving outcomes for infants born prematurely. The discussions were enlightening and underscored the significance of comprehensive policies that can make a tangible difference in the lives of families facing similar challenges.

Throughout the day, I was reminded of the power of collective advocacy and the impact we can have when we unite our voices for a common cause. The experience reinforced my belief in the necessity of continued efforts to ensure that every child has the best possible start in life.
